The sessions will be scheduled with individual coaches and team this year to better meet the needs of the team. The younger age groups deserve greater technical training opportunities while the older age groups deserve specific tactical and functional training requested by the team coach. ● Warner will focus on Academy age team, U11, U12, U14. Flanagan will focus on U15 through U18 teams. Senior Staff coaches will be responsible for oversight of specific age groups.
● All ASG coaches must hold a minimum of ‘E’ license of NSCAA State license. All coaches will be expected to attend coaching development clinics and move through the coaching levels. Arrangements are being made to host a NSCAA National Diploma (non-residential) in Tallahassee in early February. The coaching issue is a big one because this requires a professional staff that does not believe that they know everything, but that they always need to continue to learn and adapt.
● ASG Florida is forming a Parent Advisory Board. This Board will represent the club as a whole cross section. It is able to meet briefly on a monthly basis to provide guidance to the ASG program. This is your club and we need to get it right for you. This group serves to guide the concerns of the parents within our structure as well as to guide concerns from outside our structure.
● ASG Florida is forming a Coach Advisory Board. This consists of the coaching staff. It serves to foster and encourage free expression of creative ideas, a comfortable place to debate as well as to provide and receive criticism. This will serve to guide our vision, our agenda, our education, our teaching and our principles. It is not a function of Warner being in charge of soccer. It is a function of Warner doing what is right by soccer and allowing coaches to be in charge of soccer.
● ASG Florida is forming a foundation that seeks to serve the entire Tallahassee Soccer Community. A corporate entity is being formed and funded to help disadvantaged and disenfranchised children be able to play the game of soccer. As previously offered Warner Soccer/ASG will donate $2500.00 to the fund to help initiate this program. This group serves to guide the concerns of the parents within our structure as well as to guide concerns from outside our structure.
● ASG Florida will continue to offer outreach programs in the schools to help promote soccer in the community, our two most recent outreach programs have been at Gilchrist Elementary school helping over two days with their Olympic days and Killearn Elementary school for two days offering soccer in the regular PE classes. Likewise, you should look for our participation in the philanthropic TOPS program that allows handicapped children to play soccer.
● We have been committed to soccer promotion in this community for twenty years and are excited about the opportunity to expand this reach. We are a known entity with the zeal and fervor to go forward!!!!
